About the Book

From how to improvise a bedtime story to understanding just what on earth Snapchat is, this is the perfect skill book for all Dads and prospective fathers-to-be. We all know that being a Dad is a full-time job, so it doesn't hurt to need a little help along the way. This book lays down all the essential skills that every modern father should know, from learning traditional skills passed down over generations such as preparing the perfect BBQ'd sausage, how to fix a bike puncture and lighting a fire to more modern challenges such as managing TV streaming services, understanding new social media and setting the rules for a newly acquired smartphone for a teenager. Packed with humorous and practical illustrations throughout, this book will leave no Dad unprepared for the joys (and woes) of parenthood.

Edward Dickens worked for various book publishers for almost 20 years before finally deciding enough was enough and giving up the day job to pursue a career as an author. So far so good - this is his third book having co-authored the political satires The Brexsh*t Book and What the Trump?! both for Portico. Edward is the father of two smallish boys and one larger manboy, so is out of the woods in terms of nappies but very much in the thick of it in terms of trying to keep everyone happy, least of all his wife and himself. Edward lives in Hove, England.
