Siobhan McHugh
Born in Ireland in 1957, Siobhan McHugh migrated to Australia in 1985 and, since then, has become passionately involved in Australian history.
Her focus on the human face of history gives her work broad appeal. Her ability to bring history alive has seen her selected as keynote speaker at such diverse events as the Australia-Ireland Conference in Dublin in 1989, the Conference on the Australian Alps in Jindabyne and the National Oral History Conference in Alice Springs in 1997. Besides her oral history work, Siobhan is collaborating with acclaimed Irish theatre director, Maeliosa Stafford, on a new play based on The Snowy.
