Alicia Salzer

After obtaining her M.D. from Cornell University and completing her B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Alicia Salzer held posts at UCLA, Columbia University, and The Mount Sinai School of Medicine before becoming the Director of Aftercare for the Montel Williams Show in 2003. She has appeared on over 100 episodes of the show, and helped victims overcome trauma by implementing revolutionary Positive Psychology exercises and techniques. Since 2003, Dr. Salzer has also been a member of the Speaker’s Bureau of the Rape Abuse Incest National Network and volunteers her services to Disaster Psychiatry Outreach, an organization which provides mental health staffing and treatment in the aftermath of disasters. Her experience with these trauma victims has led her to work with a New York clinic that was created to care exclusively for Ground Zero personnel present on 9/11. Along with being a regular forensic expert witness on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, she has made many appearances on “Fox and Friends,” radio appearances, speaking engagements, and has served as a member of the American Psychiatric Association’s Consulting Committee’s “The South Africa Project.”
